For
Students:
Information for
Pakistani citizens wishing to obtain Study Visa for Belgium
1. Documents to be submitted in order to obtain a visa for
studies in Belgium
a. A valid international
passport (1 year at least)
b. 2 standard visa application forms
c. 6 recent photographs
d. 2 photocopies of the first 6 pages of the passport
e. 3 envelopes (9” x 6,5”) stamped ‘registered’ mail by the
applicant and holding the applicants address
2. Pakistani or Afghani documents
a. Birth Certificate of the applicant attested by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs
b. If the applicant is older than 21 years, a Police Character
Certificate (not older than 6 months, covering the last 5
years and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
c. Medical Certificate (not older than 6 months) issued by an
accredited medical centre
d. Diplomas or degrees attested by Ministry of Education and
subsequently by Foreign Affairs Ministry
All Pakistani/Afghani documents have to be presented in
original version. No photocopies will be accepted.
3. Belgian documents
a. Original admission certificate to higher- or university
education, recognized or subsidised
b. Evidence that the applicant has sufficient financial means.
This evidence may be established by one of the following
documents:
i. A certificate issued by either an international
organisation or a national authority. The certificate must
state that the aspiring foreign student has received or will
soon receive a grant or loan that is sufficient to cover
his/her health care, subsistence, studies and repatriation
expenses.
ii. A legalized formal obligation (standard form annex 32)
accompanied by proof of solvency.
