Pakistan is situated in South Asia near India, Iran and Afghanistan. Pakistan is 6th most populus country full of Natural Resources including Gold, copper,Coal, Pearls, and skilled Human Resource. The official name is "Islamic Republic of pakistan". With the population exceeding 190 million people, Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world. Located at the crossroads of the strategically important regions of South Asia, Central Asia and Western Asia, Pakistan has a 1,052-kilometre coastline along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman in the south and is bordered by India to the east. Pakistani People are extremely intelligent and hardworking but the misuse, theft and embezzlement of the God Gifted resources by the corrupt Politicians is the main problem of Pakistan.

At an elevation of 1453.90 meter lies the Gilgit valley, offers spectacular scenic beauty. It is surrounded by lakes, rivers, glaciers and high mountains ranges. Some of them world's largest peaks, such as Nanga Parbat, 8125 meter and Raka Poshi, 7788 meter are located here. The best season to visit is from May to mid October. The local dialect is Shina, however, Urdu and English are also spoken and understood.

It shares a marine border with Oman, and is separated from Tajikistan by the cold, narrow Wakhan Corridor.Pakistan occupies a geopolitically important location at the crossroads of South Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia.

Economy of Pakistan is developing at fast pace with an anual GDP growth of 6 percent.The economy is semi-industrialized, with centres of growth along the Indus River.Pakistan is one of the largest producers of natural commodities, and its labour market is the 10th largest in the world. Around 600,000 Pakistanis went abroad to work in 2012. Expatriate workers send remittances of close to US$ 14 billion annually—the largest source of foreign exchange apart from exports.


Science and Technology in Pakistan
