Metro Bus Lahore is a Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) system; , situated on the main roads of Lahore city. The Metro Bus System (MBS), arguably the country's first rapid mass transit bus project, was launched here on 10th February 2013.People are loving their travel through this new Metro Bus System - First ever Mass Transit System in Pakistan introduced by CM Shahbaz Sharif to effectively manage transportation of public. Its a paradigm shift in the Public Transport sector and the common man can now safely travel with dignity and honor. The track can also be used by those Ambulances which carry emergency cases & hence will be highly helpful in saving precious human lives. Its a National asset to save your time, money & energy and you must own it. It was very pleasant to see passengers at metro bus stations talking to each other so frankly and politely like a family. The other routes are over mountain passes. Construction work on the project planned by the Punjab government in the last quarter of 2011 was undertaken in March last year. The MBS route covers dozens of residential and commercial localities along the city's main artery — Ferozepur road linking Lytton road, Jain Mandar, MAO College, Lower Mall, Civil Secretariat, Aiwan-i-Adal, Chowk Katchehry (District Courts), Shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, Ravi Road and Shahdra town..
